I had a very positive experience when I brought a car back in February. I dealt with Jack, who was very helpful and professional throughout. Nothing was too much trouble. He made the whole experience stress free and positive.

Left our car for a service and first MOT, I had a Toyota Corolla lent for the day, they did an excellent comprehensive job all round & even cleaned the car inside and out, we were well pleased with every aspect thanks.

My car was with SMC Aldershot for over two weeks and I understand ##s can happen, but the lack of communication throughout the process was extremely disappointing. I repeatedly had to chase updates myself, a lot of promised callbacks never materialised, and I was given multiple assurances regarding workshop dates and completion times that were subsequently missed. The ##s resulted in rental car costs and disruption to my business. Unfortunately, the same communication issues continued during the complaints process, where I again found myself having to follow up for responses and updates. The branch eventually offered £200 goodwill towards my costs, which I accepted. However, having since read other reviews, I was disappointed to see that concerns regarding communication appear to have been raised previously. I hope improvements are made so that future customers receive a better experience.

We recently purchased a vehicle from SLM Vauxhall Hastings and received outstanding service from Cieran throughout the entire process. From the moment I submitted an online enquiry, Cieran went above and beyond by creating a detailed video of the vehicle, walking us through its condition and features, and answering all of our questions promptly and honestly. When we visited the dealership for a test drive, Cieran was equally excellent. He took plenty of time with us, answered every question thoroughly, and made sure we felt comfortable and informed throughout. He also highlighted a couple of items that needed repairing or replacing before collection, and Vauxhall honoured everything that was agreed without hesitation, which gave us great confidence in both Cieran and the dealership. 5 star service from start to finish. Professional, knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely helpful throughout the whole journey. We will definitely be returning to SLM Vauxhall Hastings when it is time to upgrade our vehicle. Highly recommended

Came all the way from Hertfordshire as had my heart set on a Seat Ibiza anniversary limited edition spec. Throughout my experience with smc both Louanne and luke were extremely helpful in getting the car ready for me to collect yesterday as my friend came with. Louanne and luke worked to get the best price for my part ex. The additional products I was offered which I took out were beneficial to me. If anyone wants to buy a seat or cupra I would 100% recommend Smc motor group Woking and ask for Luke or Louanne

We bought a great nearly new Toyota Yaris from Paul at Quest who couldn't have been more helpful. He answered lots of questions when we phoned and even took the time to make a video for us so we knew whether it was worth driving up see the car in person. There was no hard sell and Paul was really nice to deal with. We've waited a few weeks since the puchase before posting in case we had any issues with the car, but it has been great and we're really pleased. Would definitely recommend Quest for a new car, and Paul in particular, if you are looking for a used car.

We bought our Dacia brand new in December 2024, and unfortunately our experience with customer service and service appointments has been very disappointing. From day one, the cruise control button did not work. We had several service appointments cancelled because there was no internet or no technician available. The fault was eventually fixed in March 2025, but only after months of ##s and inconvenience. We then booked the car in during March 2026 because the rear-view camera stopped working. We were given an appointment in May, but the repair could not be completed because the master engineer was covering the area on his own. We were then given another appointment for 16 June 2026. After waiting months for the issue to be resolved, we were informed that the engineer had not turned up for work. As a result, the rear-view camera is still not working and the problem remains unresolved. The car itself is fine, but the after-sales service has been extremely frustrating. Repeated ##s, cancelled appointments and poor communication have left us very disappointed. Had we known the level of support we would receive after purchasing the vehicle, we would have seriously reconsidered buying a Dacia

Very, very helpful even though they no longer sell new Lexus cars, had to go to Cambridge for tgat -and they were not at all helpful! Lexus made the wrong choice when they cut back!

My whole experience was extremely positive, from initial enquiry, through to final handover of my new Alpine A110 GTS car. The entire team were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, supportive of each other and were prepared to go the extra mile, without hesitation, when needed. They displayed an excellent level of customer care, often not experienced elsewhere, and had a genuine passion for the Alpine brand.

An absolutely appalling experience from a main dealer. I contacted SLM Toyota after my Hilux failed to start, with a computer scan clearly showing two specific immobiliser faults. After calling the dealership to explicitly confirm they could resolve this issue, I had the vehicle towed to their site. The vehicle then sat at their garage for over six weeks. During this entire time, I received zero proactive updates. Every single communication required me to ring and chase them, only to be repeatedly brushed off with the excuse that they were 'very busy.' It was only after another couple of weeks and a formal complaint on my part that I threatened to escalate the situation just to get my own vehicle back. After nearly two months in their possession, the vehicle was returned to me completely unfixed. Shockingly, I took the truck to an independent garage the very next week, and they diagnosed and resolved the immobiliser issue almost immediately. For a main dealer to hold a vehicle for months, offer zero customer service, and fail to fix a fault an independent garage sorted in days is completely unacceptable. I will never use this dealership again, nor will I ever recommend them. Avoid.

We bought the car on May 22, 2026, and paid for it in full. However, we didn’t actually get the car until June 2 because some work needed to be done on it. But as it turned out, the very next day after picking it up, we noticed that the AC hadn't been refilled, even though that had been agreed upon. A couple of days later, we took the car to our mechanic. He hooked it up to the computer for a diagnostic check and immediately found an error code. I called them, explained everything, and we agreed on a fix. Plus, the cigarette lighter wasn't working either. I called and sent an email—basically, I covered all the basesThen I drove over, left the car, and showed them the exact error my mechanic had pointed out. All they did was fix the cigarette lighter; they didn't refill the AC. Instead, they said it would probably have to be done under warranty. I don't get why it should be a warranty issue when it was supposed to be filled from the start as agreed. I even have a video report they sent me detailing what they were going to do to the car, which explicitly mentions that the AC was supposed to be filled. Nobody filled it. Now we have to wait for the warranty department to reply whether they’ll cover it or notOn top of that, I pointed out the error code my mechanic found during the diagnostics. All they did was clear the code, drive around a bit, and say it hadn't come back. How can they just say "it hasn't come back" when it was clearly there in the first place? What’s the point of that kind of "fixjust clearing the code from the computer? That’s not how it works; you're supposed to actually repair the issue from the start.

We did not have a very positive experience here. We booked a test drive of the new Aygo with Luke, who was polite but basically just handed us the key and send us on our way without explaining anything about the car. Because we knew we wanted the car, we still put a deposit down and were waiting for finance to be approved. During that process, Luke did not respond to emails, when we called, he was mostlyaway from his deskand never called us back even though we were told he would. In the end, the finance was denied, which was also not communicated to us. To clarify, we are not upset about the finance not going through, we know this is up to Toyota themselves and fair enough if they do not feel we have the funds. However, what made us feel uneasy was the total lack of communication from Luke’s side, and the early promises ofyou don’t have to worry about ityou don’t need a guarantoretc. We would have really appreciated knowing up front that it might not go through and would have appreciated not being ignored and actually have someone explain the process and the car to us.
