Here at SLM Group we are proud to play an important part in our surrounding communities.

The Sara Lee Trust

The Sara Lee Trust has been providing specialist counselling, therapy care and support, for over 20 years, to local people who are living with cancer and other life-threatening conditions, along with their family and carers.

The Trust is the dedicated provider of specialist counselling and complementary therapy services to patients of St Michael’s Hospice (St Leonards on Sea) and the Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital.

All the directors and staff at SLM Group feel very proud to be involved in raising money for such a great cause that helps our local community. For every new or used car that we sell across the group, we make a donation to the trust. We have just donated another £511 to the charity.

The Sara Lee Trust is hugely grateful for this latest donation from St Leonards Motors Group, which brings SLM Group's total support to £48,804. The support makes a huge difference to local people who are affected by cancer or another life-threatening illness, by helping the Trust to provide free counselling, complementary therapies and group support.

SLM Group's donations helped towards the build of the Trust's new Hall space at its Therapy Centre in Sidley, Bexhill. The new hall will provide a flexible place for new group therapeutic activities, fundraising events and community support, providing support and care for many people for years to come.

Nelson's Journey

Since 1997, Nelson’s Journey has been supporting children and young people in Norfolk with their bereavement needs, helping them to understand and cope with their feelings. The charity also supports professionals in the county who work with children, such as teachers and health workers, to help raise awareness of issues affecting bereaved children.

Nelson’s Journey’s vision is that every bereaved child in Norfolk will look forward to a positive future, empowered to reach their full potential.

We are delighted to announce our latest donation of £583 to Nelson's Journey. SLM Group have supported Nelson's Journey since 2018 and have donated £19,198 by contributing £1 for every new and used car sold.

The charity's Funding & Marketing Manager Gary Stevens said: “We are once again delighted to receive this latest donation from SLM and thank them for this and their continued support over the year. The support they have given enables us to continue our work with the bereaved children and young people of Norfolk. It comes in a year that has seen calls for help increase so we are really grateful of this donation from the fab team at SLM”

The work they do is fantastic and we look forward to continue the support and raise lots more".
