Nelson's Journey is the only charity in Norfolk to accept open referrals for specialist support to all children and young people who have experienced the death of a significant person in their life.  The COVID-19 outbreak has really emphasised just how essential this support is for local families.  The charity is receiving a greatly increased proportion of calls to their Support Line linked to deaths, both COVID and non-COVID, including suicides.  The current restrictions have led them to develop and deliver new services provided by phone or video call so they can continue to support children and young people remotely.

We are delighted to announce our latest donation of £670 to Nelson's Journey. SLM have supported Nelson's Journey since 2018 and have donated £13,324 by contributing £1 for every new and used car sold.  

The charity's Funding & Marketing Manager Gary Stevens said: “We are once again delighted to receive this latest donation from SLM and thank them for this and their continued support over the year. The support they have given enables us to continue our work with the bereaved children and young people of Norfolk. It comes in a year that has seen calls for help increase so we are really grateful of this donation from the fab team at SLM”
