SLM Toyota in East Anglia proudly present cheque to Nelson’s Journey following period of fundraising

SLM Toyota Centre’s in East Anglia were once again proud to handover a cheque to wonderful charity, Nelson’s Journey, following a successful fundraising period towards the end of 2021.

  • For those of you that know us well at SLM Toyota, you’ll be aware that charity Nelson’s Journey is particularly close to our heart, having fundraised for them for over four years. Therefore, it fills us with joy to announce that following a fruitful period of fundraising towards the end to 2021, we were able to handover a cheque for £420 to the good people at the charity.

Nelson’s Journey is a fantastic and selfless organisation that is dedicated to supporting children in Norfolk who are suffering with the loss of someone close to them. It achieves this through a number of support channels, activities and initiatives, and is proud to have helped hundreds of children and their families since it’s inception in 1997.

SLM Toyota has been a proud fundraiser for Nelson’s Journey since 2018, and raise funds by donating £1 every time a new or used car is sold from our Norwich, Lowestoft and Attleborough Toyota Centres. Since we started our mission, we have raised over £9,000, which has all gone to the charity to help fund their work.

Pictured below (left to right) is Damian Pavy, Norwich Sales Manager, Natasha Blyth, SLM Marketing Co-Ordinator, and Rebecca Bushell, Fundraising & Marketing Officer at Nelson’s Journey. Here we were able to present the cheque to Rebecca, following a visit to our Norwich Toyota Centre.

  • Warmed by our latest donation, Gary Stevens, Nelson’s Journey Funding & Marketing Manager said: “We are extremely grateful to the SLM Motor Group for their continued support. Since 2018, they have donated £1 for every car they’ve sold - the grand total now accumulates to over £9,000 which is a phenomenal amount. This is a significant contribution which has allowed us to support hundreds of bereaved children and young people from around the county via face-to-face work, our therapeutic weekends and our support line.”
