  Was looking for an upgrade as my previous car was old and had served me well. SLM Select was close by and I popped in.   Exceptional service from David Siddle - if I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. The Smart 2017 Car that I bought from SLM Select in Hastings (that I came across on Autotrader) was the exact car that I had in mind for my first car to drive, from 4 weeks that I was searching for one. The details of the car were candid, and included a full service history and the amount of owners. The mileage of the car was also excellent (~53,000 milesThe salesman, David Siddle, resolved the minor issues (such as tiny marks and scratches, a broken armrest, as well as a very slight smell of smoke in the car) with absolute no inconvenience and was extremely transparent throughout the time we talked about the car with him. The communication was superb over the week we conversed and he even sent videos via email on the progress of the car’s very minor issues being repaired. It should be said he did send a sum of money after some time after the car was bought to cover the broken armrest, as at the time we could not find a replacement for the armrest, which was extremely generous of them to do so. When my Dad and I arrived to SLM Select only a week later, the car looked brand new - all of the minor marks and scratches had vanished, they put 2 new tires on in gesture of good will and you wouldn’t even be able to tell that the car had any smoke smell in there to begin with! There was a 12 month warranty also included, serviced the car free of charge, as well as an updated MOT - the car was virtually in mint condition and the outcome of the car was outstanding. Moreover, the most special part was that David had put the Smart Car out on the forecourt, which included a placard next to the car with a congratulations message with my name on it, since this was my first car! That really did make my day! My Dad was delighted and I was ecstatic with the Smart Car - David had gone above and beyond any salesman would ever have done, and his honest and truthful approach to the sale of cars is what really all salesman should admire and undertake when selling cars - every dealership should have a David Siddle, but sadly there is only one David Siddle! My Dad has bought many cars over the years in many dealerships, and even he says this is one of the best dealerships he has ever come across. For me, this will be an extremely memorable buying experience for my first ever car, which has been prodigious. I would highly recommend this dealership to any who is looking for a no fuss, no overly pushy salesman, no trouble, buying experience, especially if you’re buying your first car! (Like I did!) Again thank you so much to David Siddle for being the best salesman to deal with, and offering a fantastic little car, in which I have had a lot of fun learning how to drive with!

  We recently purchased a used car from SLM Select in St Leonard’s and had a very pleasant experience from start to finish. David Siddle, in particular was extremely friendly and had a no pressure or pushy sales tactic. Which is one of the reasons which led us into buying th car. He took the time to answer all of our questions and made sure we was comfortable with our decision. Nearly a week later, we are still loving the car and happy with our purchase.   Very happy dealing with Jack Humm at SLM. Had to purchase a car soon after buying another one elsewhere due to an accident, and had a much more positive experience. Spent a morning test driving 2 cars, Jack was very patient and personable, and completely transparent with the vehicle's history etc. No hard upsell of extras. Completely positive experience and very happy with the car - so far so good!

  My car was taken for a service & MOT. I was welcomedafter returning home was called to advised my car was ready to collect in the afternoon. Fortunately no problems to pay out for this time. The service was already paid monthly by the service plan. My car was nicely cleaned inside & out too. Very happy!

  I had a fantastic experience with SLM Select, and Dave Siddle in particular. I visited last Saturday and saw a Nissan Qashqai that I liked, went and spoke to Dave, had a test drive (a nice long one that involved all types of road), and put the deposit down. I picked the car up a week later and unfortunately because the car hadn't been very well used (only 10,800 miles on it and 7 years old), it wouldn't start so had to be jump started. It was okay for about a day but then the battery died again and I had to buy a new battery from Halfords as it was a Sunday afternoon. Today (Monday), Dave called me as an after sales check in and I explained what had happened. He was so apologetic and asked me to forward the invoice and committed to seeing what he could do about the cost. Within a couple of phone calls, and providing my bank details, I was reimbursed in full for the battery! I genuinely wasn't expecting that but am so grateful for the exceptional customer service and support provided by SLM. Dave is absolutely brilliant, great sense of humour and Northern charm, he completely put me at ease and made the whole car buying experience such a good one. Highly recommend SLM and Dave.

  I was looking for an Alfa Romeo Giulia and found a Veloce for sale at SLM. I spoke to David, who invited me down for a test-drive; "we'll have some funhe said. On the day, there was no hard sell or waffle - the car sold itself, but David made it an enjoyable experience, as promised. During the test-drive, David had found a missing seat adjustment button. I had spotted a minor rear suspension bush issue from a previous MOT. However David assured me that these issues would be resolved by the time I collected the car. On collection day, the car was presented beautifully. The minor issues had also been rectified. Collection and payment were no problem and SLM included a comprehensive two-year warranty. I also went for the ceramic coating package and alloy wheels protection policy. This was back in April. It's now the end of August and I am very happy with my purchase. I would recommend SLM to anyone looking for a decent used car.

  Driven my parents car after they fit a tyre that hadn't been bolted on a year ago, then a year later they showed the same negligence. Refused to do anything about it because of their overheadsWill be reporting them. Edit: You don't take people's safety seriously, all you care about is overheads which you have no problem telling customers, awful attitude.

  I recently bought a car through David and I’m extremely happy with his service.   Contacted SLM Select on a Friday near closing time, swiftly organised a test drive of an Audi A3 for the following day. I had the pleasure of dealing with Mark who was extremely helpful throughout the buying process. Deposit paid on the Saturday, the car required a service and a replacement door card, and was then ready for collection (delivery is also available) in less than a week. I am about 2 hours away from SLM and they were very accommodating with my 'rough' timings. Easy from start to finish, transparent, personable service and fantastic communication throughout the process. Highly recommend!

  Ed Rose was like the 4th emergency service I was so upset that the loan car was not there for me as booked but he was calming and very helpful and got the car fixed as quickly as possible a star xxx

  I highly recommend SLM. They are always thorough, efficient and fair and always look after me and my car exceptionally well. On this occasion I would like to thank Ed Rose for his amazing and professional customer service and good communication. He was so helpful, understanding and patient and a credit to SLM. Outstanding in every aspect of his roleThanks also to the wonderful Engineer who attended to my car and it was a nice surprise to have a shiny clean car waiting for me too! Thanks to you all

  Great experience working with Jack at SLM. Had great knowledge about the car I was buying. We had a couple of small issues after purchase, but Jack made sure he called us when he said he would and for the issues sorted withoutI would recommend dealing with SLM and Jack in particular.
