Toyota help local Pets at Home Store Update
  • Mike Trim, the local organiser for the Brighton Retired Greyhound Trust reported what a great day we had at Pets at Home in Hastings yesterday. At 10am we were joined by Jason Barlow, General Manager of the local SLM Toyota dealer. Jason had very kindly placed a Toyota Yaris (same model as is first prize in the Pets at Home raffle) outside of Pets at Home for most of the month and paid for it to be sign written (see photo attached). He also had his sales and service staff sell raffle tickets and even gave away one ticket with each car sold. Jason was very pleased with our combined effort and looks forward to working with us again. Thank you Jason and please thank your staff for us. Once again the staff at Pets at Home were so helpful and friendly. Treats were in abundance as usual. Graham, the assistant manager, was very thankful for our effort as we are of his. Please thank your staff for us. I really must thank all those owners who took the trouble to come and support us. We had a couple of extras. A Hastings owner came to shop and, realising we were there, went home and brought his hound Oscar for an hour or so. A Rye owner arrived to shop with his hound that he adopted from Sittingbourne. Imagine his surprised when he was confronted by seven hounds wearing similar 'Retired and Loving it' coats !! He and his hound Sally also stayed for a while. Overall we sold another £20 of raffle tickets, received donations of nearly £100, sold £28 worth of Christmas cards and had four serious adoption enquiries. What a great day.
