Top performing sales executive, Tom Larkin, celebrates his first successful year at SLM Toyota Hastings

This March at SLM Toyota Hastings, we celebrate the first year in service for Tom Larkin, one of our sales executives who has shown passion, innovation, and ambition in his role – the perfect concoction we think, for a text book SLM Toyota Sales Consultant.

• At SLM Toyota, it fills us with joy to see our staff succeed and reach milestones in their career journey with us. This March, we help Tom Larkin celebrate a full year working at our Toyota Hastings Centre as a Sales Executive. 

  Despite this being his first role in a Toyota Centre, Tom has over 14 years experience in motoring trade, where he developed his skills and understanding of matching people with cars, and developing long lasting relationships with his customers. Even with this experience, Tom has relished the opportunity to learn more about a new manufacturer, their ethos to producing cars, and how it can benefit owners.  

  Commenting on his revelation with the Toyota brand, Tom said: “Toyota's product and the Hybrid technology they developed in 1997, is brilliant! With the changes that we're all experiencing currently and with what is coming over the next few years, I genuinely could not think of a better brand right now. Everything will be eventually going electric and the technology's Toyota have been offering for years, means we are well ahead of other brands.” 

  At an earlier stage in Tom’s career, he had previously worked with the SLM Toyota Hastings Sales Manager, Lee Henwood. Knowing the positive work dynamic between the two, Lee was over the moon to see Tom join the team a year ago: “I have worked with Tom previously and new straight away that he would be perfect for SLM and our Toyota customers. He is very experienced and extremely professional with an eye for detail. He has shown excellent customer service from day one and has become an integral part of the team.”
