SLM Toyota continues to support local cricket clubs
Building on the momentum from Q1, SLM Toyota Attleborough supported Rocklands Cricket Club during their Get Set Weekend, celebrating the volunteers who help local cricket thrive while sharing information about the New Aygo X Hybrid. Meanwhile, SLM Toyota Uckfield showed its support for Buxted Park Cricket Club by providing a Yaris to one of the club's Australian players during his time in the UK.
SLM Toyota continues to support local cricket clubs through community partnerships and the Toyota Good For Cricket Prize Draw, where 100% of ticket sales go directly to participating clubs. Prizes include the All-New RAV4, the All-New, All-Electric Toyota C-HR+ and the New Aygo X Hybrid.
CUPRA Woking attends CUPRA Raval World Premiere
On 9th April, the CUPRA Woking team attended the CUPRA Raval World Premiere at CUPRA City Garage Manchester, where they witnessed the unveiling of CUPRA’s new all-electric model. Immersed in a high-energy experience designed to reflect the spirit of the Raval, the event was brought to life in collaboration with Chase & Status, whose live performance perfectly captured the bold character of CUPRA. We look forward to welcoming the new CUPRA Raval to our electric line-up.
Celebrating the Norfolk Marathon and Half Marathon
On 19th April, SLM Toyota were delighted to sponsor the Norfolk Marathon and Half Marathon, hosted by EPIC Norfolk (Exercising People In Communities Norfolk). With sunshine and a fantastic atmosphere, the event brought together runners, supporters and local businesses in Cromer for a memorable day. Visitors also had the opportunity to get up close to the All-New, All-Electric Urban Cruiser at the finish line throughout the day. Congratulations to all runners. We were proud to present each participant with a souvenir alongside the Mayor.
The EVent: Showcasing the latest electric models from SLM Toyota
From 18th–25th April, SLM Toyota hosted The EVent, introducing the All-New, All-Electric Toyota C-HR+, the latest addition to the Toyota electrified line-up. Customers were invited to experience a dedicated week of electric test drives across our SLM Toyota centres, offering the chance to be among the first to get behind the wheel of the All-New, All-Electric Toyota C-HR+ alongside the latest all-electric models from Toyota, including the All-New, All-Electric Urban Cruiser and New All-Electric Toyota bZ4X. It was a great opportunity to showcase the future of electric driving.

Alpine A290 arrives at Oatlands Village Fayre
Moving into May, Alpine Store Weybridge attended the Oatlands Village Fayre, giving customers the opportunity to experience the all-electric Alpine A290 up close. Surrounded by artisan stalls, great food and live entertainment, the event supported fundraising for the Scouts, Guides and other local causes. Guests had the chance to discover Alpine’s signature style and presence while experiencing this thrilling new model in person.
A Suzuki showcase in Chelmsford High Street
From 14th–16th May, Quest Motor Group headed to Chelmsford High Street to showcase the latest Suzuki models, including the stylish new Suzuki Swift with Mild Hybrid technology and the All-New Electric e Vitara. It was a great opportunity to meet people from the local area, answer questions and share the team’s knowledge of the latest Suzuki models.
Supporting the Cooden Beach Bowl Competition 2026
May also saw SLM Toyota Hastings and SLM Vauxhall Hastings proudly support the Cooden Beach Bowl Competition 2026 at Cooden Beach Golf Club as part of a long-standing sponsorship that has recently been renewed. With the All-New, All-Electric Urban Cruiser and new Vauxhall Grandland electric on display at the 16th hole, we’d like to congratulate all the golfers who took part and helped make the event a success.
Celebrating our team members at the Toyota Graduation Ceremony
SLM Toyota had the pleasure of celebrating team members at the Toyota Graduation Ceremony. Robbie Tribe completed a Level 3 Customer Service Apprenticeship, Christopher Youngs completed a Master Technician Qualification, Ryan Carn completed a Technician Apprenticeship and Duncan Harding completed a Parts Apprenticeship. A fantastic achievement by all involved, and congratulations to you all from everyone here at SLM Group.
A weekend at the Cuckoo Spring Fayre with SLM Toyota Uckfield
From 23rd–24th May, SLM Toyota Uckfield were pleased to be part of the Cuckoo Spring Fayre at Laughton Showground, giving customers the opportunity to explore the latest cars and vans from Toyota with our team. It was great to meet visitors and share the display, including the Proace City Verso Electric, All-New, All-Electric Toyota C-HR+, New Aygo X Hybrid and more. Alongside the Toyota range, visitors enjoyed a fun-filled day featuring a giant funfair, model boating lake and even a Native American village.
SLM Toyota joins the action at BTCC 2026
On 24th May, SLM Toyota were thrilled to attend the 2026 British Touring Car Championship at Snetterton Circuit. The team enjoyed exclusive access to race day action, the Corolla Racing facility, pit lane walkabouts and the opportunity to meet the drivers, with the team competing under the new Speedworks Motorsport Limited name. After becoming Team Toyota GB in 2019 and achieving multiple victories with the Toyota Corolla, the team returned for 2026 with both Cook and Buxton behind the wheel.
Annual SLM Group ‘Wakka’ Cup Golf Day
At the end of May, the team took part in the annual SLM Group ‘Wakka’ Cup Golf Day. With five teams competing in a Texas Scramble, congratulations to the winning team of Mark, Rich, Chris and Paul, who secured victory with a score of 71 (nett 53), one under par. A special mention also goes to Jay and Neil, our nearest the pin winners. Hosted at Cooden Beach Golf Club, the ‘Wakka’ Cup now proudly sits on display at SLM Vauxhall Hastings.

SLM Toyota attends Police Family Day
On 6th June, SLM Toyota had the privilege of attending the Norfolk Constabulary Family Day at Norfolk Showground, where the team showcased some of the latest models from Toyota. The event was a fantastic opportunity to thank officers and their families for their dedication, while offering an insight into policing and supporting fundraising for the force’s chosen charity. We were delighted to be part of such a special day.
The Sara Lee Annual Charity Golf Day
SLM Vauxhall Hastings were proud to attend the fifth Annual Charity Golf Day at Cooden Beach Golf Club, with all proceeds going to The Sara Lee Trust. Providing free wellbeing support to people affected by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses across Hastings and Rother, The Sara Lee Trust is a fantastic cause to support. Our Vauxhall Mokka was on display at the 16th hole, and we’d like to thank everyone who braved the summer showers to take part.
