St Mary’s School Horam Greenpower Series Update

Earlier this year we told you about St Mary’s School Horam entering the Greenpower series after SLM Toyota Uckfield supported them with a £2,000 donation to buy their kit car. One week into the new school term, the kit arrived for six eager students. The group were keen to start assembling the components and create their very own St Mary's Greenpower Formula 24 car. The six boys have spent two hours a week building their vehicle and it quickly came together thanks to their enthusiasm for the project. After four weeks of hard work, the car is now beginning to take shape. The drivetrain and rear axle has been assembled and aligned this week, which proved to be quite tricky. After lots of hard work the rear wheels could be fitted, as could the all-important motor. The project is really starting to take shape now and we can’t wait to see the final result! We would like to wish the team the best of luck in the last stages of their build.
