SLM Toyota Uckfield recognises talent and promotes new sales manager from within

As we’ve mentioned before in other news stories, we love acknowledging our staff’s talent and commitment to their work. At our Uckfield SLM Toyota Centre we’ve done just that, and promoted one of our employees who has shown excellent progress and diversity in experience, Greg Potter, who has been appointed to Sales Manager.

• Greg has been a part of the SLM Toyota family for five and a half years now, originally joining our sales team on the front lines helping our customers get on the road. After expanding his knowledge and experience in a customer facing role, Greg then took a side-step and moved into a compliance & finance role to diversify his skill set. When asked about his experience with SLM Toyota so far, Greg said “Although I have enjoyed expanding my knowledge and understanding a difference aspect of the business, I knew I would always want to venture back across to the sales environment.”

  With a clear vision for our Uckfield Toyota Centre from Simon Evinson, our General Manager, Greg jumped at the opportunity to move back into a sales role, indicating that the timing was perfect.

  When asked about what he was looking forward to most in 2021, Greg said “With more members of staff joining the team at Uckfield, I’m looking forward to hopefully having a really strong second half of the year with the team, and the release of the All-New Yaris Cross in August/September.”

  Working with SLM Toyota for over half a decade now, Greg is well placed as an expert in all things Toyota, so we’d like to think he has a fair amount of clout when he comments on his favourite Toyota to date. He said “Having driven it a couple of times now, I think the New GR Yaris is a brilliant car. It's understandable why it has had such good reviews, and so many people are purchasing them.” We love the New GR Yaris too, Greg!

  In his spare time, Greg enjoys travelling and seeing new places, spending quality time socialising with his friends and family, and is also a keen golfer and a member at Sedlescombe Golf Club.
