Here at SLM Toyota East Anglia we are excited to announce that we have recently joined Nelson's Journey NJTwenty group. NJTwenty is an exclusive group of 20 Norfolk businesses who are collectively committed to raising at least £30,000 for the charity.

This fantastic amount of money would fund their therapeutic Residential Weekends in 2020, which enable bereaved children and young people the opportunity to meet others going through similar experiences. It gives them a chance to spare experiences, learn coping mechanisms for challenging emotions and remember the person who died. Staff at the weekends encourage and guide the young people through fun outdoor activities which build self-esteem and help those attending bond with each other.

A Parents and Carers Group also runs alongside the Residential Weekends, which allows parents to meet others, share stories, understand things from their child(ren)'s perspective and take part in some of the therapeutic activities. Pictured at the top of the article is the whole NJTwenty group. Pictured above from left to right is: Joanne Rutledge – Business Centre Manager, Phil Kerridge – Nelson’s Journey and Andrew Bullimore – Norwich Centre Principal. Thank you Matthew Dartford for providing the photographs.

Here at SLM Toyota East Anglia we are very proud to be part of such a fantastic group and we are looking forward to working with other local buinesses to raise more money for Nelson's Journey, who are a very worthy local charity.
