SLM Toyota Hastings Sales Manager successfully completes Toyota Management Programme

We’re super proud to announce that our Hastings Toyota Centre Sales Manager, Lee Henwood, has successfully completed the coveted Toyota Way Management Development Programme. Huge congratulations to you Lee!

• At SLM Toyota, we are proud to be invested in our staff’s development and career prospects, and we feel that as an employer, we go the extra mile to ensure that our staff are happy. However, it gives us great joy knowing that the manufacturers that we work with are also invested in our staff. Toyota being a prime example, who have spent considerable time and effort to arrange accessible and genuinely useful accreditations and courses for our staff to engage with to further their careers.  

  One particular instance where this has benefited our team, is the recent completion of the Toyota Way Management Development Programme by our Hastings Toyota Centre Sales Manager, Lee Henwood. 

  This superb, yet gruelling programme is designed and run jointly by Loughborough University and Toyota GB, and is recognised as industry leading in all aspects of business and management. Toyota in fact use similar programmes across various other fields, including crisis management, and even Formula One.  

  This fascinating programme demanded huge levels of commitment from Lee, including a residential stay at Loughborough University for a period of the course. Lee produced two business projects that demonstrated his learnings and how he has since applied the Toyota Way in our Centre, before presenting them to a panel of Industry experts. The outcome of this piece of work was not only a pass, but a MERIT for his achievements.  

  Lee commented on this unique and rewarding experience, saying: “Its been a very challenging course, and very thought provoking. Learning the Toyota Way has been very insightful and I’m confident that implementing these ideas and sharing them with my team can only be beneficial to us and our customers”. 

  Filled with joy to see one of his valued team achieving such a sought after acolade, Ryan Conway, SLM Toyota Hastings General Manager, said: “Brilliant job Lee, so well deserved after all your effort! Congratulations!”
