Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester - SLM Toyota Uckfield

We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our SLM Toyota Uckfield workshop team.

As a Vehicle Technician you will be working in a busy Toyota environment, where you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing motor vehicles to the high standards of the Toyota brand. The position will afford you the best exposure and training in hybrid technologies, putting you firmly at the leading edge of future innovations.

The ideal candidate for our Vehicle Technician position will have strong communication skills to be able to work as part of the team. MOT licence is preferred.

Our Toyota Uckfield Technicians work Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm, and Saturday 8:30am to 12:30pm (on rotational basis).

What we’re looking for in a Vehicle Technician:

• Experience in vehicle servicing and maintenance
• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Repair or equivalent (required)
• Main dealer experience (required)
• MOT licence (preferred)
• DBS certificate
• Full UK driving licence
• Team player with a customer-focused attitude

Key job areas of the Vehicle Technician role:

• Carry out vehicle services and repairs to manufacturer standards
• Diagnose and fix non-routine defects
• Carry out MOT tests
• Ensure jobs are completed efficiently and accurately
• Work collaboratively with the dealership team
