SLM Vauxhall supports 29th Bexhill Rotary Club charity golf tournament

Whilst this year has been a tough journey for many, it brings smiles to our faces when we see others doing their bit for those in need. This June, our SLM Vauxhall team were able to show their support for local charities by sponsoring the 16th hole at the 29th Bexhill Rotary Club charity golf tournament.

• This wonderful annual event, arranged by Bexhill Rotary Club, took part on 25th June 2021 and was hosted at Cooden Beach Golf Club, which all who took part will agree, was the perfect setting for some challenging golf and celebrations afterwards.  

  SLM Vauxhall this year were the proud sponsors of the 16th hole; a satisfying yet challenging par 3 hole with an elevated tee box (for those golf lovers reading!). We took along two cars from the recent Vauxhall release; the magnificent Vauxhall All-New Mokka, which really turned heads with the green All-New Mokka Elite Nav, and white All-New Mokka SRI Nav trim levels (show below, confidently overlooking the course).

• Not only were SLM Vauxhall fortunate enough to sponsor a hole at the charity tournament, we were also invited along to take part. So, we gathered our troops (pictured below left to right: Gary Miles, Jonathan Hollidge, Mel Ball, and Mark Phillips.) and took to the course, claiming two of the tournaments ‘closest to the pin’ prizes with our resident bandits Gary Miles and Mark Phillips. Well done both!

• Despite a slightly smaller turn out than previous years, the charity tournament was a huge success, raising £3,000 for local charities supported by the Bexhill Rotary Club. Aside from the excellent golf played by all, an entertaining and delicious evening meal followed, delivered safely by the golf club. The evening was then concluded with a raffle and Irish bingo, organised and led by James Slinn, contributing to the superb sum raised during the event.
