SLM Vauxhall Hastings Technicians earn valuable accreditations through sheer hard work and commitment

Two of our Technicians at SLM Vauxhall Hastings have gone above and beyond to earn specialist accreditations, giving them new knowledge and skillsets that will allow them to advance their careers, and be more versatile in their roles.

• At SLM Vauxhall, it makes us super proud when our staff show passion and commitment to their trade by earning accreditations in their field. Our Vauxhall Hastings Dealership hold their heads high as two of their Technicians, Andy White and Adam Haylor, have passed tests to become accredited in their respective fields. We couldn’t be more proud!

• Andy White (pictured above holding his accreditation certificates) has achieved Master Tech and Full EV Tech accreditation status after significant hard work and experience gained throughout his career.  

  Andy originally took up his role with SLM Vauxhall Hastings almost six years ago, already qualified to Vauxhall ‘Gold’ standard Technician status. Since then, he’s not only maintained his full accreditation, but also committed himself to gaining the new PSA training, which is required to gain his full EV (Electric Vehicle) accreditation. This allows him to undertake work on both full electric (BEV) and hybrid (PHEV) power train vehicles.  

  Andy comments on his recent achievements, saying “You really have to embrace the new EV technology which is very much the way forward for both the environment and also as a driving experience”. 

• Adam Haylor (Pictured above holding his new accreditation certificate) has recently passed his class 4 and 7 MOT Nominated Tester certification, and is now working towards his Master Tech and Full EV Technician accreditation.  

  We are particularly proud to see Adam earn these achievements, given that he began his career with SLM Vauxhall Hastings five years ago when he joined us as an apprentice. His enthusiasm for his role, hard work and perseverance, and commitment to our family business have all come together to see Adam progressing in his career.  

  Feeling proud of the work he has put into his achievements, Adam says “I’m really pleased to have completed my apprenticeship and MOT tester qualification and I’m very grateful for the support from SLM along the way. I’m now looking forward to the next stages of my training and getting involved with the EV models”
