Ben Nash At Moor Park

  • Ben was on the road early this month and his first stop was Moor Park. Based just outside Watford, the golf course boasts an amazing club house (pictured). Moor Park played host to a 36 hole event which Ben took part in over two days. Ben teed off on a sunny morning at 11.10am, with a little bit of wind to make it interesting. Bogeys at the 4th and 8th hole saw Ben out in 38 shots, failing to capitalise on the reachable par 5 10th and dropping shots on the 13th, 15th and 17th. With a birdie free round, Ben left it all to do on the next day. An early second day and Ben started the same, dropping 2 shots in the first 4 holes. He managed to recover with 2 birdies on 6th and 7th, getting him back to level par for the day, although a careless bogey on the 13th and 14th meant he had his work cut out for the finish. He finished with another bogey and left himself joint 20th overall. Ben went on to say "it's always tough when the putter isn't working, I felt that tee to green was very good but it's a shame not to convert the opportunities. And I left it all to do in the second round."
