    An absolutely appalling experience from a main dealer. I contacted SLM Toyota after my Hilux failed to start, with a computer scan clearly showing two specific immobiliser faults. After calling the dealership to explicitly confirm they could resolve this issue, I had the vehicle towed to their site. The vehicle then sat at their garage for over six weeks. During this entire time, I received zero proactive updates. Every single communication required me to ring and chase them, only to be repeatedly brushed off with the excuse that they were 'very busy.' It was only after another couple of weeks and a formal complaint on my part that I threatened to escalate the situation just to get my own vehicle back. After nearly two months in their possession, the vehicle was returned to me completely unfixed. Shockingly, I took the truck to an independent garage the very next week, and they diagnosed and resolved the immobiliser issue almost immediately. For a main dealer to hold a vehicle for months, offer zero customer service, and fail to fix a fault an independent garage sorted in days is completely unacceptable. I will never use this dealership again, nor will I ever recommend them. Avoid.

    We bought the car on May 22, 2026, and paid for it in full. However, we didn’t actually get the car until June 2 because some work needed to be done on it. But as it turned out, the very next day after picking it up, we noticed that the AC hadn't been refilled, even though that had been agreed upon. A couple of days later, we took the car to our mechanic. He hooked it up to the computer for a diagnostic check and immediately found an error code. I called them, explained everything, and we agreed on a fix. Plus, the cigarette lighter wasn't working either. I called and sent an email—basically, I covered all the basesThen I drove over, left the car, and showed them the exact error my mechanic had pointed out. All they did was fix the cigarette lighter; they didn't refill the AC. Instead, they said it would probably have to be done under warranty. I don't get why it should be a warranty issue when it was supposed to be filled from the start as agreed. I even have a video report they sent me detailing what they were going to do to the car, which explicitly mentions that the AC was supposed to be filled. Nobody filled it. Now we have to wait for the warranty department to reply whether they’ll cover it or notOn top of that, I pointed out the error code my mechanic found during the diagnostics. All they did was clear the code, drive around a bit, and say it hadn't come back. How can they just say "it hasn't come back" when it was clearly there in the first place? What’s the point of that kind of "fixjust clearing the code from the computer? That’s not how it works; you're supposed to actually repair the issue from the start.

    We had a really good experience dealing with Sam at SMC Renault in Aldershot. We wanted to test drive the R5 as we were considering a move to all electric. Sam was very helpful and attentive throughout the demonstration of the cars features and setting us up for the drive. He talked us through our options and whilst was keen to do a deal it wasn't exactly what we were looking for spec wise. I would however 100% buy from Sam and SMC.

    We had a test drive appointment last week with Luke for a Cupra Born - the experience was exceptional and exceeds recent similar experiences with Tesla and Mercedes. Luke was very likeable, knowledgeable and allowed us quality time to familiarise ourselves with the car (demo test drive car and showroom equivalent.) Based on our experience we are sold on the idea of the Cupra Born being our next car and plan to buy the ideal spec car soon.

    Given how busy it was the service, and my experience, was good. There was a bit of a wait, even though I had g given an arrival time, but the coffee freely available was very good. My only complaint was that the car park was a nightmare. Perhaps 10.00 on a Friday wasn't the wisest time/day to choose to visit them.

    We spoke to David Siddle about a car that had just gone on the website and hadn’t had any prep done yet. He sent us a video shortly after our first conversation. As we couldn’t get there until the weekend, David advised us to reserve the car and he would take it off the website, the car was prepared before we visited and it was ready for us to view and test drive when we arrived. David gave us all the time we needed to look at the car and was able to answer all the question we had. We collected the car a week later and as promise it had a new MOT and service done. Overall, David was friendly, knowledgeable and professional throughout and made it a great experience and we would recommend it family and friends.

    There was damage on the back of the boot door. Renault Weybridge took my car in and the body shop promptly fixed the damage. It only took a few days and I was given a replacement car. They did outstanding work.

    Customer service, in my experience these days is a rarityHowever, certainly not in my dealings with Quest Motor Group in Braintree. Everyone was pleasant, helpful and friendly. In particular the sales gentleman who assisted me, with my vehicle purchase, Rob Beckwith.
