SLM Group are proudly continuing to support local charity The Sara Lee Trust with a visit to the newly opened Therapy Centre.

Recently, Ian and Gus Wakeford from SLM visited the newly finished Sara Lee Therapy Centre in Sidley, Bexhill.

SLM Group started supporting the work of The Sara Lee Trust back in early 2016 and has been donating £1 for every car sold to the charity since then. We have also helped promote the amazing work of the Trust across further afield and to our customers. To date, SLM are very proud to have been involved in raising nearly £10,000 for the Trust.

Dan Redsull, Chief Executive Officer of The Sara Lee Trust talked about the importance of SLM's support, commenting: "We are immensely grateful for SLM's continued support. The additional funds have enabled us to widen our reach, helping more local people and families affected by cancer and other life threatening illnesses. Their promotion of our work has also helped, most importantly, raise awareness of our services and how to access our care. We are now caring for more people than ever and we thank SLM for their contribution to this.

"SLM have also supported the development of our new Therapy Care Centre in Sidley, Bexhill which will significantly improve access for local people as well as provide community based services in an area which has the highest level of need across East Sussex. Michael Lear, Trust Chairman and I were delighted to show Ian and Gus around the finished centre.

"We would like to thank SLM, its team and customers for their highly valued support and we look forward to meeting the longer term challenges on increasing and improving care for local people with their continued support".

Ian Wakeford, Managing Director at SLM, added: "Since opening it's doors in St Leonards back in 1960, SLM has spread it’s wings somewhat over the South East and recently into East Anglia, but we never forget our roots and the people of 1066 country who have remained loyal to both us and the area. As virtually all of us will be touched by a serious illness at some stage, SLM could not think of a better way of putting back into the area that has supported us so well. A modest amount to assist The Sara Lee Trust - a charity dedicated to supporting those same loyal people in times when they are most needed."
