Toyota is still the biggest car brand in the world, worth £21.8bn according to the Interbrand Best Global Brands Report. “It is the second year in a row that the Japanese brand has taken the top automotive slot in the report,” beating out competition from the 13 other top 100 automotive manufacturers in the list. “While Toyota suffered a number of setbacks this year, including a boycott in China and its largest single recall ever, it quickly recovered and went on to reclaim its global sales leadership position – a testament to the automaker’s resilience, leadership position and enduring appeal,” says the website.
