St Leonards Motors Group Latest Donation to The Sara Lee Trust

In 2020 St Leonards Motors Group, a family-run local establishment is celebrating its 60 Year anniversary. St Leonards Motors began life as the brainchild of father and son team Graham and Brian Wakeford, the Wakeford family still own the company. St Leonards Motors group is one of the largest local businesses in St Leonards on Sea, now also running several sites in East Sussex, Kent and East Anglia.

• The SLM Group have raised well over £21,000 for a local charity called The Sara Lee Trust, making them one of their most valued business supporters. The Sara Lee Trust supports people affected by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. This year, the trust is raising funds to support the building of a new hall space at its Therapy Centre in Sidley, Bexhill.

  The new building will help the Sara Lee Trust provide more group activities for its patients. SLM’s group donation will be an important contribution towards the project.

  Services Manager Kerry Evans said, “Activities like gentle yoga offer a safe way to exercise for people who are affected by life threatening illness, and also provide much needed support and friendship with others experiencing similar issues.”

  With demand for these activities increasing, The Sara Lee Trust’s new hall space will be able to provide the extra space needed to accommodate those who need its support.
