SLM Toyota Uckfield Welcomes New Team Members

Meet the latest people to join the Uckfield team.

  • Here at SLM Toyota Uckfield we are very pleased to welcome three new members of staff to the team. Paul Hardwell (pictured left), is our new General Manager. Ross Gallagher (middle) and Peter Hall (right) have both joined our service team as Service Technicians. Find out more about them all below.

    Paul Hardwell

Paul has worked in the motor industry for 24 years, starting with managing self-drive hire outlets in the 1990's. His previous roles in dealerships have included Business Manager, Sales Manaer and General Sales Manager. He has only been with us one week but we are certain he will be a fantastic asset to our team.

The most rewarding part of his role is "working in a business where what you put in can make a difference." He is also looking forward to seeing the site grow whilst developing a stable, happy team. Paul's favourite Toyota in the range is the RAV4 because "it's big, comfortable and the children can see out easily!" Outside of work, Paul enjoys "family time with my wife and daughters, reading, tending my garden or sitting in Starbucks. I also enjoy pop quizzes - I used to be a radio presenter when I was younger."

    Ross Gallagher

Ross, has been working in the motor industry for nearly 10 years, working across a number of different sectors of the industry. He has been part of the SLM team for two weeks now and wanted to work here because "Toyota are one of the best names in the motor industry, especially with their pioneering hybrid technology."

The most rewarding part of his job is "making sure cars are safe and road worthy." His favourite vehicle in the current range is the Toyota GT86 and his first ever car was a Renault Clio. Outside of work, Ross enjoys playing football.

    Peter Hall

Pete began his career in the motor industry working in a garage for nearly two years, where he worked on both classic and modern cars. After this, he decided to study Motorsport Engineering at university.

Peter has been with the team for one month now and applied to work here because he was interested in working for a main dealer. He is really excited about being able to move forward in his career and become a higher technician. Peter's first ever car was a 1998 Honda Civic and in his spare time enjoys detailing his car.
