First Glimpse Of Vauxhall GT X Experimental

Vauxhall have revealed teaser images of its new GT X Experimental brand concept.

  • Earlier this month, Vauxhall revealed more teaser images of its GT X Experimental concept, which is set for release in the mid-2020s. The new concept embraces Vauxhall's core values (British, ingenious, progressive and approachable) and will provide a template for the design of its future production cars.

The GT X Experimental is due to be revealed fully to the public for the first time later this year and will be the first vehicle to feature the new Vauxhall face design and new 'Vauxhall Compass', which structures the front design of future models. It boasts two prominent axes that insect the Griffin emblem, with wing-shaped daytime running light signatures.

The daytime running lights and Griffin, as well as cameras and sensors of the assistance systems are protected by a new unique design element reminiscent of the eye slot of a motorbike helmet called a 'Vizor'. This will give all new models a distinctive and bold face.

Mark Adams, British Vice President of Design, commented: "Design will be at the heart of everything that we do in future. It will truly differentiate the Vauxhall brand, and make it sharper and more relevant to our core values. We are a proud British brand and design inspiration is all around us in the UK – from the bold ingenuity of James Dyson to the pure designs of Jonathan Ive – and this concept will embody that.’
