Everything You Need To Know About The All-New Dacia Bigster

The All-New Dacia Bigster, a hybrid SUV, has been revealed. It is the largest SUV Dacia has ever made- with a spacious high-tech design.

  • The All-New Bigster offers a budget-friendly alternative without compromising on style, capability or modernity. It will be available in three different trim levels. Let’s take a further look at what makes the All-New Bigster one of the most anticipated vehicles in the SUV market.

  • Trim Levels

The SUV will be available in three levels of trim, starting with base-level Expression as well as two higher levels: Extreme and Journey. The extreme models gain features such as washable upholstery and rubber floor mats- so any mud or spills can easily be cleaned. Additional features include: keyless entry, hill descent control, Arkamys 3D sound system, 18 inch rims, copper brown finishes, modular roof bars, an opening paranomic sunroof and a 10.1 inch digital drivers display. Journey, the top spec model, includes additional features such as two larger screens, an upgraded sound system and satnav, two-tone paint, central armrest, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, an automatic tailgate, a wireless phone charger and adaptive cruise control. Accessories can also be added to make the All-New Bigster even more practical. These include an organiser for the back of the front seat, a Sleep Pack to transform the interior into a double bed and a rear armrest which can be transformed into a backpack- perfect for those seeking adventure!

  • Exterior Design: Rugged and Modern

The All-New Dacia Bigster embraces a rugged, powerful aesthetic which sets it apart from its competitors. Its wide grille, complimented by sharp LED headlights, emphasises a modern yet practical look- while the lack of unnecessary chrome and flashy details stays true to Dacia’s minimalistic culture. It's bold stance exudes a sense of adventure and power. The All-New Bigster’s dimensions are generous, measuring around 4.6 meters in length, making it larger than the Duster but more compact than many of its competitors. This size makes it ideal for families and adventurers who desire extra space without the bulk of a full-size SUV. The automatic opening boot (as standard with the Journey edition) allows you to open and close the boot conveniently via the hands-free card in the cockpit, or directly on the boot itself. The opening height of the boot is also adjustable, which is ideal if you are in a confined space where the boot is not able to open to its maximum height. The 19” Rasan diamond cut black alloy wheel rims, Exclusive Indigo Blue paint and gloss black roof create a luxurious high end feel, and differentiate the All-New Bigster from other models. A recycled, unpainted material called Starkle is used for the wheel arches and side skirts. The Extreme edition also features a stylish, opening panoramic sunroof.

  • Interior Design: Practicality and comfort

The All-New Bigster has a comfortable, spacious interior- with 24cm legroom, up to 667 litres of boot capacity and over 38.8 litres of storage space. The SUV features automatic dual-zone climate control in every model, offering personalised comfort for the passengers in the front seats and creating two distinct zones with separate temperature settings. The interior has impressive modern features such as a built-in refrigerator console (available with the Journey trim level) which also acts as an armrest and a storage compartment too. The comfortable, fully-adjustable seats have lumbar control to ensure comfort for those long journeys. The passenger seats are split into a 40/20/40 ratio- including a central arm-rest with two cup holders and two smartphone holders.  These seats can also be folded down to maximise space.

  • Youclip- The accessory system.

The All-New Dacia Bigster is also fitted with a ‘Youclip’ system (familiar from the Duster) with 4 standard attachment points and 2 extra points available as an accessory. This is a quick and easy way to attach a wide range of accessories- such as cupholders, mobile phone holders etc.

  • Hybrid SUV

The All-New Dacia Bigster is the first vehicle to have Dacia's new electrified powertrains. The SUV will come in three powertrains. These include:

    • The All-New Bigster Hybrid 155 powertrain

This is fully hybrid using both petrol and electric, and uses up to 80 percent electric in 'urban mode'. It also has an impressive 155 hp and 170 Nm of torque, as well as 230v battery with automatic charging.

    • The All-New Bigster TCE 140

This is a mild hybrid which uses both petrol and electric. It has combustion engine electric assistance, as well as 48v battery with automatic charging.

    • The All-New Bigster TCE 130 4x4

This is a mild hybrid using both petrol and electric. It has 4x4 transmission and electric power- assistance, as well as 48v battery with automatic charging.

Dacia has increased its use of sustainable materials on the All-New Bigster and overall the SUV includes almost 20% of recycled plastics- a higher proportion than usual in the automotive industry.

  • Discover Media Nav Live

The All-New Bigster extreme and journey levels have an integrated multimedia system with connected navigation, delivering real-time information on traffic conditions- which is displayed on the 10.1-inch touchscreen. Media Nav Live is combined with a 3D Sound System with 6 speakers developed by Arkamys- the world’s leading audio software and sound experts for the automotive industry. As well as this, all driving and consumption can be monitored on the 10 inch instrument panel with the extreme and journey models, or a 7 inch instrument panel with the expression model.

  • Advanced driver- assistance systems

The All-New Bigster is equipped with several modern, high-tech features to make every drive an incredible experience. The SUV includes as standard: an automatic emergency braking system, traffic sign recognition with speed alert, lane change warning, lane keeping assist, and more. Depending on the trim level, automatic high/low beam lights and a Multiview camera is also included. Journey and Extreme trim levels also feature Adaptive Cruise Control as standard for an optimal driving experience.
