Ben's British Open Qualifying

Ben had open qualifying on the 24th of June. A lovely day greeted the 100 competitors which were playing for 14 spaces through to the final qualifying up in Scotland. East Sussex National played host to the event, with the rough high and the greens quick and a few tucked pin positions. Ben teed off at 9.28am. Playing well settled down into the round of golf. -1 through the 7th. A double bogey cost him on the short difficult 8th. A flurry of pars for the next 7 holes left Ben +1 coming into the last 3 holes. The 16th cost Ben a double bogey, where his tee shot didn't quiet make the 183 yard carry over the water. Two pars to finish with saw Ben miss the 14 spaces by two shots.
