    CUPRA Terramar Rear

    Amid the prestigious backdrop of the America’s Cup, CUPRA introduces the all-new Terramar, the brand’s latest flagship SUV, designed to push boundaries and attract new audiences. This sporty SUV propels CUPRA into the premium market, targeting Europe’s fastest-growing automotive segment as part of the brand’s most ambitious product expansion yet, following the successful launches of the CUPRA Leon, Formentor, Born VZ, and Tavascan.

    CUPRA CEO Wayne Griffiths stated, “With the CUPRA Terramar, we’re not just expanding our product lineup but also elevating the brand to a more premium position. We’re reaching new customers and exploring emerging segments, all while maintaining our rebellious and challenger spirit. The Terramar represents a more mature, confident CUPRA, firmly rooted in its identity, yet unapologetically authentic.”

    CUPRA has seen significant growth since its inception, with nearly 700,000 vehicles delivered to date. The brand continues its record-breaking momentum, achieving its best first half-year ever in 2024, with 125,700 vehicles sold—an impressive 17.2% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

    CUPRA Terramar: A New Hero for a New Era

    The CUPRA Terramar embodies the brand’s innovative design language, featuring a bold and confident aesthetic. This new SUV boasts the iconic triple-triangle signature and CUPRA Matrix LED Ultra headlights with High-Definition Technology. Its performance-oriented front grille and sleek, sweeping lines give it a dynamic presence, while the wide rear proportions, illuminated logo, and rear diffuser add a defiant edge.

    Available in nine striking exterior colors, including the exclusive Century Bronze Matt and Enceladus Grey Matt, the Terramar also offers the Dark Void hue, inspired by the plasma color of the CUPRA DarkRebel Showcar.

    Inside, the Terramar redefines sportiness with a driver-centric cockpit and a sustainable approach, featuring bucket seats made from 100% upcycled SEAQUAL® YARN, Dinamica with 73% recycled textiles, or leather tanned using plant-based processes. The SUV also boasts cutting-edge digitalization, with a redesigned HMI in the digital cockpit and a 12.9-inch infotainment system with retro-illuminated sliders. The premium sound experience is further enhanced by a high-fidelity 12-speaker system from Sennheiser.

    The CUPRA Terramar offers a range of five powertrains, including TSI (petrol), eTSI (mild hybrid), and the next-generation plug-in hybrid (e-HYBRID) engines, delivering between 150PS and 272PS. The SUV’s driving dynamics are heightened by standard sport suspension, progressive steering, adaptive chassis control, and Akebono brakes.

    Designed and developed in Barcelona, the CUPRA Terramar will be manufactured at Audi’s Györ plant in Hungary, with deliveries starting in the last quarter of this year.

    A Landmark Launch at the America’s Cup

    Presented under the banner of ‘There is no second,’ the CUPRA Terramar made its debut at the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup, the world’s premier sailing competition, and Barcelona’s largest sporting event since the 1992 Olympics.

    The launch event took place at the America’s Cup Experience, a cutting-edge exhibition space in Barcelona’s historic IMAX building. This venue allows visitors to explore the rich history of the world’s oldest sports competition, blending tradition with advanced technology and immersive experiences. Here, guests can experience the thrill of the America’s Cup, thanks to simulators and other interactive exhibits.

    As the official car of the America’s Cup, the CUPRA Terramar’s world premiere was attended by Grant Dalton, CEO of the America’s Cup, who joined CUPRA CEO Wayne Griffiths in reaffirming their commitment to inspire from Barcelona. The strategic partnership, forged in December 2023, is rooted in both brands’ shared values of innovation, performance, and a strong connection to the Mediterranean city.

    The CUPRA Terramar’s launch was accompanied by a unique global campaign, a film directed by CUPRA ambassador J.A. Bayona. The renowned filmmaker highlighted the project’s focus on the brand’s competitive spirit, self-improvement, and the mantra ‘There is no second,’ showcasing the shared values of defying expectations and pushing boundaries.

    Under the auspices of the America’s Cup, CUPRA also introduced the limited edition Terramar America’s Cup model. With only 1,337 units produced, this special edition features exclusive design elements, including black wheels and the distinctive Enceladus Grey Matt color, celebrating the partnership.

    Further extending its influence, CUPRA has partnered with De Antonio Yachts to launch the E23 Terramar, a fully electric yacht inspired by the Terramar SUV’s design. The brand has also unveiled a new Capsule Collection that captures the spirit of the America’s Cup, available at the race village and during the Terramar’s premiere event.

    With these initiatives, CUPRA continues to challenge conventions, blending bold design and cutting-edge technology to make a lasting impact on the world of automotive and beyond.
