Service Technician & MOT Tester - SMC CUPRA Woking

SMC CUPRA Woking is looking for a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our busy workshop team.

As a Service Technician, you will be working in a busy workshop environment, where you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing motor vehicles to the high standards of the CUPRA brand. Previous main dealer experience is desirable.

SLM Group takes pride in supporting our employees in developing their knowledge through the training opportunities available to them, such as brand accreditation, EV/hybrid, and diagnostic qualifications, enabling our team to develop their skills across several brands of vehicles and progress their careers with SLM.

Our Vehicle Technicians work Monday to Friday 8:15am to 5pm with half an hour unpaid lunch. No weekends!

What we’re looking for in a Service Technician:

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Repair or equivalent (required)
• Previous main dealer experience.
• MOT licence is preferrable
• Experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Accuracy in using our online VHC Video System.
• Team player with a customer-focused attitude
• Full UK driving licence.

Key job areas of the Service Technician role:

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of vehicles.
• Vehicle maintenance such as oil and filter changes.
• Complete job cards and write ups on franchise platforms.
• Complete vehicle health checks (VHCs)
• Work as a full member of the dealership team.
