Tim Faulkes joins the SLM Vauxhall Hastings team as Parts Delivery Driver. Tim, whose role will focus solely on the safe delivery of genuine Vauxhall parts in and around Sussex, says "It's something I've wanted to do for a long time, just because I simply love driving".
Tim has always loved driving, and as such most of his previous jobs have included driving too. He has delivered many things, working for a baker delivering crumpets and hot cross buns, and for a beverage company delivery soft drinks along the south coast of England.
He's not only used to driving larger vehicles, though. Tim's first car was a Ford Escort 1600S in the 80's, which was followed by a Vauxhall Viva! When he's out driving, he likes listening to anthems mainly, including Driving Home for Christmas by Chris Rea. It's Christmas all year-round, right?
Outside of work, Tim enjoys cross stitching. "I mainly stitch lions, tigers and snow leopards". He also enjoys visiting National Trust sites across the UK, including his favourite, Ightham Mote in Sevenoaks.
We asked Tim if there was one place he could visit for just 24 hours, where would it be?
"I'd pick the Lake District. It's lovely up there! I've done the 8/9 hour drive a couple times and I'd rather teleport than drive!"
Tim is looking forward to serving our customers in East Sussex and having a successful career with SLM.
