We’re pleased to introduce Keith Jones, the newest technician at our Toyota Lowestoft Centre, who not only knows cars like the back of his hand, but also Lowestoft, living just a stone's throw away from our dealership. Whilst experience, and the ‘can-do’ attitude are all obvious qualities that we strive to look for in our employees, having an attachment and passion for the local community is a real bonus.
Keith has extensive experience as a technician, beginning his qualification and training at the age of 16, and since working at various main dealers. The knowledge gained from working closely with a multitude of manufacturer vehicles, we believe, is a signal that Keith is an excellent problem solver and will help to get our customers back on the road quickly and safely when they bring their vehicles in for servicing and repairs.
When we asked Keith what he finds the most rewarding part of his job, he responded simply with “Fixing cars!” - we love this, as it shows the linear and objective driven focus that Keith applies to his work – to make something that’s broken work again, and the sense of accomplishment that comes with it.
Although only being with us a short while, Keith is already impressing colleagues. Terri Andrews, Customer Experience Manager, says “Keith is settling in well and has joined our team with a wealth of experience in the main dealer sector. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty and doesn't shy away from getting involved in additional diagnostics and repairs. As he continues with his journey with SLM I look forward to him developing his knowledge within Toyota to achieve Master Technician.”
In his spare time, Keith enjoys football, fishing, tech and computers, and above all being a dad to his children.
