The Impressive 0-60mph Vauxhall Mokka Road Test

  • One of the “most competitive” SUVs on the market, the Mokka attracts with “a pretty little nose” but a “robust and aggressive” body, Maggie Barry says in her ‘0-60 road test’ for the Daily record. “The Limited Edition is particularly handsome with brilliant white bodywork, black roof and wing mirrors, privacy glass, 19-inch wheels and silver effect roof rails. Nice.” The cabin is “well-equipped” and “looks good”, complemented by “nicely finished” surroundings and fabric and leather seats that are “extremely comfortable”. Powered by the “extremely quiet” 1.6-litre ‘Whisper’ diesel, “the essential information” really is “in the name” but it also delivers “lower CO2 emissions” than its 1.7 predecessor and “yet better mpg”. It makes the Mokka a “very smooth and quiet drive”. “The high driving position and solid road stance make you feel confident behind the wheel and it also has tyre pressure monitoring, high beam assist, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, side protection mouldings, and a switchable electronic stability programme.”
