  • Nissan recently revealed a new IMx zero emission concept car at the Tokyo Motor Show. It is an all-electric crossover concept vehicle with a range of over 600 kilometeres and the option of fully autonomous driving.

The Nissan IMx has been designed to provide drivers with an overall more safe, convenient and enjoyable experience. Danielle Schillaci, executive vice president for global marketing and sales, zero-emission vehilces and the battery business, explains: "The IMx zero-emission crossover concept vehicle embodies the future of Nissan Intelligent Mobility. Through Nissan Intelligent Mobility, Nissan is committed to changing the way people and cars communicate, as well as how cars interact with society in the near future and beyond."

The IMx's design is eye catching from the outside in, with plenty of unique characteristics to ensure it stands out on the road. The vehicle boasts a modern and spacious feel throughout, with a panoramic OLED instrument panel and wood grain-patterned trims.

The car's artificial intelligence allows the driver to conrol the instrument panel with eye movements and hand gestures, meaning less physical controls to ensure the dashboard is clean and simple. The most exciting technological feature is the ProPILOT, offering autonomous operation. When selected, the steering is stowed in the dashboard and seats are reclined, giving the driver and passengers more space to enjoy their journey.
