Marshall Tufflex prove their Green credentials

One of Hastings largest local manufacturing company's has recently taken a giant step to supporting their 'green' credentials. Marshall Tufflex, who have already branched out in this direction by launching their range of 'Energy Management' products which can significantly reduce electricity bills for commercial users, have gone one stage further by buying a number of Toyota Prius' for their fleet, sourcing these vehicles from their local Toyota Centre, St Leonards Motors Toyota.

Toyota has for the second year in succession come out top of Business Car Magazines 'green rankings'. They commented on Toyota's good range of low CO2 models, topped off by the lowest- emitting five seat cars - the Toyota Prius. They noted that this gives Toyota a compelling eco argument, a position not lost on Marshall Tufflex when deciding on which cars to run for their fleet and to support their desire to test their green purchasing options that bit further.

Ian Wakeford, Managing Director of SLM Toyota, noted, "We always strive to build strong relationships with local business wherever we can and the desire of Marshall Tufflex to reduce their carbon footprint dovetails perfectly with the Toyota Range. It is creditable that they have literally put their money where their mouths are! We also believe in what Marshall Tufflex has to offer and have proved this by fitting their Voltis energy management units to all our Dealerships. So far our electricity bills are down by as much as 15%"
